Wow!! This is now a complete chess package! The encyclopedia of chess openings is good to master the intricacies and wrinkles of the chess system. I found this really awesome! All the things you need for a pocket chess buddy is here! The last update made the chess engine play better with its level 12 difficulty. But still can compete with Chess Genius. On the other hand, it can beat Caissa Chess anytime. It calculate a move faster than any other chess programs on the iPhone/iPod platform. Looking forward for a more stronger chess engine in the next update!! Please include new board designs!!

One of the very best chess apps. Powerful engine for strong players, still an excellent engine for casual players. I think its a chess app that someone could really grow with as a player. Interface is intuitive and gives me everything I want it. Graphics are simple yet hi-res and elegant. This ones a keeper.

I got shredder and fritz, and I would recommend Tchess pro to anyone. However shredder have better human artificial intelligence, Tchess pro is the strongest of them all

This is a fabulous chess application - very intuitive and the engine is quite strong. It just keeps getting better with every update; the "play rated games" and PGN database features are fantastic.

Gameplay is very smooth, makes playing chess really fun.

This chess engine is very enjoyable to play. The UI and the feature set are not over the top like some other chess games, and they provide a lot of useful substance. I love the PGN features especially. It is worth the purchase just for that alone. I love the blindfold mode and I love playing black against this engine for some reason. The way the whole packages is put together is very satisfying. There is exactly enough functionality and UI and not too much. Perfect.

I had not enjoyed chess this much in years. And I love its analysis. Since I bought it I do not mind line ups. And if your ego gets overinflated ... just crank up the difficulty level to get a royal beating. For fun, I had it play it against the Chess of my MacBook. It beat the Macs without raising a sweat.

Was hoping for something that would help me learn chess. The interface presented is not for beginners. Gamelofts may be a better route for beginners...

I am not a big chess person - havent played in years. Saw the price and was surprised but thought I would rather pay a little more for a good chess game, even though I am not very good. Anyhow, The game play is excellent and I play in rated mode so it adjusts my level of play according to how I do against the computer. It is just great - plays at my level and when I win a few it bumps up the difficulty, then if I loose it lowers it, and there are so many levels of hardness it is completely seamless. A great find for me and would recommend this to anyone who appreciates clean apps and a good game of chess.
